johnwalk5 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 No turbo boost on ford GalaxyFollowing a replacement of the auxiliary drive belt that had come off the pulleys the engine has no low speed turbo boost. It was perfect until the belt event. Quote
chrispb123456 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Have a look and see if the belt could have whipped of the small vacuum hose running down to the turbo actuator. Quote
johnwalk5 Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 Thanks Chrispb, good thought, but checking will have to wait, its cold and raining, even here in Southern Spain!! Quote
chrispb123456 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Bet it's not as cold as it is here -3c at the mo. Quote
SilverBeast Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Bet it's not as cold as it is here -3c at the mo. I've got -14.4 though it was -20 earlier (-38 with wind chill!). Then again I am skiing in the French Alps! Quote
chrispb123456 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 I cant wait to tell my missus your away in the french alps skiing and you still posting on the forums, that's dedication. ps hows the heater. Quote
SilverBeast Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Still intermittent. Galaxy's at home so I'll be looking at it at some point. I'll probably remove it and strip it. Quote
johnwalk5 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 OK Chrispb, don't let anyone say you are anything but a genious!! Right first time. As you know you sort of need to know what you are feeling for as the turbo etc is right out of site. I was really surprised how close the actuator pipe is to the belt even when clipped into its retainer. Many thanks (sorry to start the weather competition - its sunny and 15deg here now!!) Quote
SilverBeast Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Are but can you ski? Seriously glad you are sorted. What would we do without the likes of Chris? Quote
chrispb123456 Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Thanks for that guys  Quote
